13 Pac-10 Rowers Named All-Americans

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Thirteen Pac-10 women’s rowers were named 2011 Pocock All-Americans as the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) announced its postseason awards on Tuesday. CALIFORNIA and STANFORD each placed four athletes on the All-America teams, USC had three selections and WASHINGTON STATE had two.

These awards recognize the outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains on the national level in women’s rowing.

The Pac-10 sent five teams to the NCAA Championships on Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif. Stanford finished second while Cal and USC rounded out the top-five, placing third and fifth, respectively. WASHINGTON earned an eighth-place finish and Washington State was 12th.
